Emma Cariaga

Emma Cariaga is the Head of Strategic Projects, the business unit responsible for strategic land acquisition within Land Securities. Emma is responsible for managing the group's residential joint ventures with third party developers and partners and for securing large-scale, residentially led mixed use opportunities both in Kent and the East of England. In the Thames Gateway this includes Chattenden Barracks, Medway where Emma leads the development management role for Defence Estates on the promotion for a mixed use new settlement of in excess of 5,000 new homes. In the East of England Land Securities has a number of strategic assets including an 2,400 acre urban extension north of Harlow which it is progressing, in joint venture with Places for People. She joined Land Securities in July 2007. Prior to joining Land Securities Emma was a Development Director for Barratt Developments, focussing on the Kent and South London areas. She was responsible for the acquisition of land and then managing them through the planning and development process.
