The Construction Commitments
The Housing Forum's Regional Workshops on The Construction Commitments
In addition to the 13 regional 2012 Construction Commitments roadshows held by Constructing Excellence, The Housing Forum has included a workshop on the Construction Commitments in our latest series of Regional Conferences, The workshop session, facilitated by Canute Simpson of SMART Objectives, seeks to achieve the following:
- Introduce the Construction Commitments to the delegates
- Get a snap shot of how well they think their organisation is living up to the 6 themes
- Identify barriers to achieving the Construction Commitments, and subsequently ways of overcoming these barriers
After completing this diagnostic, the participants rated the theme their organisation was most successfully living up to (green) and the one they were having most trouble with (red). The results are presented in the table below:

Delegates who highlighted a particular theme as "red" were then asked to define a particular barrier, with those indicating the theme as "green" coming up with potential solutions.
