Construction Legacy

Construction Legacy - Housing

In 2003 the Construction Legacy-Housing programme was launched as a partnership between The Housing Forum and ConstructionSkills. The purpose of the programme, through its Demonstration Projects is to concentrate on employment and training and aims to ensure there are long term benefits to local communities in terms of filling the skills gap whilst making an investment in the communities themselves.

An Interim Report on the progress and highlights of the last year's work was launched at our National Conference on 16th April 2008 and is available here. The work is part of a rolling programme going on for the next three years and will continue to look for up to 25 new projects around the country. All of the Demonstration Projects in the Interim Report and all of the stakeholders within each project (whether active or complete) are listed at the end of the document with links to each individual Project to enable the good learning and detailed information to be shared and disseminated.

The Phase 2 report outlining 24 case studies that was launched at last year's Housing Forum National Conference is also available here.
