A Partnered Approach to Sustainable Construction & Development
To develop an affordable, sustainable and ecologically sensitive housing development scheme in a rural setting. Working in partnership with the developer, Greenfield Way Limited, the Local Authority, South Somerset District Council, The Housing Corporation and Jephson Housing Association.

AMPHION Consortium
A consortium of over 20 Housing Associations to promote Egan principles by introducing lean production methods into house construction using modern timber technologies to produce housing in a factory setting. The consortium is partnering both with the supplier and contractor and then right down the supply chain. The size of the consortium is such that it can promote volume (450 units year 1, rising to 500 and 550 units in years 2 and 3) and continuity of production for the development of timber framed dwellings.

Angela Carter Close
The scheme is a development on Lambeth land for Metropolitan Housing Trust and creates new sustainable, affordable homes for local people in housing need. The houses achieve ECO homes excellent and it is the second FSC Labelled housing scheme in the UK. The team was asked to work on the project by Metropolitan Housing Trust following on from the success of Boatemah Walk which was the first FSC labelled building in the UK

Apollo Group
This project was part of the Construction Legacy - London programme which sought to map approaches to the delivery of training and apprenticeships in the housing and regeneration sectors. The Housing Forum programme worked with 11 active Demonstration Projects from within the five Olympic boroughs. Up until March 2010, The Construction Legacy - London programme operated as a partnership between The Housing Forum and ConstructionSkills.

Ardler Infrastructure and Housing
This demonstration project tailored lean thinking for application in the construction industry. At the same time it carefully monitored changes in employees' job satisfaction under the new system. Within the DP a new electronic bonus scheme database was developed to closely observe labour productivity.

Arlington House, Camden - Building Lives Training Academy with Lakehouse
Arlington House is a hostel for homeless people and has been completely refurbished to provide 3000m2 social enterprise and training space, together with 35 flats for intermediate rent and 95 high quality units for homeless people. The vision for Arlington House is to become a world class housing and enterprise centre for the 21st Century, transforming the UK’s approach to homelessness, housing need and employment for people who have difficulty in accessing jobs.

Asra Greater London Housing Association - Elmgrove Point

Avenham Regeneration, Preston
The project involves the demolition and redevelopment of 5 sites within the Avenham estate in Preston. The total project is 112 new build houses and bungalows over three years of which phase one is 70 units. The development is part of a larger Estate Renewal Challenge Funding (ERCF) stock transfer scheme from Preston Council to Collingwood HA incorporating health, education and employment improvements.

Axis Design Collective - Eco Terrace
The project seeks to explore innovation in existing housing refurb and the results should be seen by both the industry and the wider public. We are being transparent with both process and results, with a two year monitoring program to assess the performance.
