Supply Chain Integration Diagnostic Toolkit
The Housing Forum Supply Chain Integration Diagnostic Toolkit has been developed to be used by clients (both private and social) and housing developers.
Its format has been designed in order to:
- Provide you, as a client or developer, with a % score of the extent to which your supply chain is integrated
- Give an indication of the steps which could be taken to improve the existing level of integration, where the score achieved is lower than the top category within each section
- Facilitate easy completion by choosing one of the four levels provided for each of the four categories listed.
The categories on which levels of integration are measured are:
- Strategic Planning for Successful SCI
- Client Leadership and Selection of Supply Chain Partners
- Communication, Supply Chain Management, Culture and Operating Procedures
- Performance Measurement and Continuous Improvement
The Housing Forum has designed this toolkit based on the knowledge within Constructing Excellence of other common toolkits covering this topic, incorporating its in-depth knowledge of the subject, whilst at the same time aiming to keep the toolkit focused on the key elements of good supply chain integration. It also incorporates feedback from a wide range of stakeholders across the housing industry, both public and private.
The toolkit also complements the sections in the 2012 Construction Commitments on "Procurement and Integration" and "Client Leadership". The Housing Corporation are requiring all grant recipients to meet the requirements of the 2012 Construction Commitments.
The toolkit provides signposts to other toolkits/ publications/ websites which give more detailed information on Supply Chain Integration performance improvement.
Information entered onto this web based toolkit will be used solely for auditing purposes by The Housing Corporation, and will not be shared with any third party, apart from on an aggregated anonymous basis to show movements in industry performance.
We aim to keep the toolkit dynamic, evolving alongside best practice in the industry, and we would therefore welcome your comments and suggestions as to how it might be improved in order to be more useful to you and your organisation. Please email your comments to: colm.quinn@housingforum.org.uk.
Thank you for your involvement and participation!
